Fall Acorns

Materials
- Brown cardstock in 4 different colors
- Gold shimmer cardstock for top layer
- Bearly Art Glue
- Cricut Machine
- Light Blue Cricut cutting mat
Instructions
Step 1: Download & Prepare Your Free file
- Download your free Fall Acorn SVG file.
- Unzip the file before uploading it to Cricut Design Space.
Step 2: Upload file to Cricut Design Space
- Open Cricut Design Space (or Silhouette Studio, if applicable).
- Click 'Upload' → 'Upload Image' → 'Browse.'
- Select the unzipped SVG file you want to use and add it to your canvas.
Step 3: Prep & Customize Your Layers
- Resize the design as needed (I did them approx. 2.25” x 3.25”)
- Ungroup the layers if needed.
- Assign colors to each layer to match your cardstock.
- Choose 'Make It' and follow Cricut’s on-screen prompts.
- Be sure to match material settings to your material type.
Step 4: Cut Each Layer
- Load your cardstock onto the mat and cut each layer one at a time.
- To remove cut pieces, flip your mat over and remove the mat from the cardstock
- Keep layers organized by color and order (bottom to top).
Step 5: Assemble the Acorn
- Start with the bottom layer and build upward.
- Use glue for a flat finish or foam tape/foam dots for added dimension.
- Carefully align shapes—symmetry is key!
Step 6: Add Finishing Touches
- Add glitter accents, rhinestones, or a little twine.
- Add a name and use for place settings.
Step 7: Display & Enjoy
- Hang or frame for seasonal decor.
- Use as accents on other home decor
Notes
The top layer is very small and will work best if glued using a bottle of glue with a small needle tip.
